The blueprint

The blueprint is the new benchmark in configuration for Microsoft 365 and Azure. It provides practical, pragmatic guidance and templates for creating secure and functional services. We believe that security should be integrated into all your technology and shouldn’t come at the expense of creating a functional system. Getting the balance right needs the right mix of services with the right configuration.

That’s where the blueprint comes in.

We've taken the great work we started with the Australian Government’s Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) to build the “Protected Utility for government”, and we've added, updated and expanded on it to provide everyone with a simple and secure way to consume cloud services. It’s not just a once off either, we take the capabilities on offer from Microsoft, and then test and deploy new features until we get them just right. Then they go into the blueprint. What’s more, better security should be available for us all, so we publish our findings for everyone to use.
