Challenge
This government agency sought out industry expertise to design and deliver 3 unique cloud environments for various stakeholders and departmental staff to securely perform their roles and daily duties. This engagement required an experienced partner to uplift, migrate and transition existing on-premises systems to multiple cloud providers. The agency required a flexible solution to operate regardless of user's physical location, aligning with specific Australian Government security controls and guidelines.
Solution
oobe's team of cloud and security experts set about re-engineering the agency’s environment with consideration of the agency’s security complexities. The solution consists of multiple platforms leveraging technologies and services such as Microsoft Azure, DevOps with Infrastructure as Code, Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix DaaS, Citrix ADC, as well as Perimeta for 365 and Perimeta for Azure. The output of this redesign was a highly repeatable multi-platform cloud-based environment delivered in partnership with Citrix, aligned with ACSC ISM PROTECTED requirements. The new architecture has transformed the agency's environment with modern practices and cloud technologies. It has increased agility and efficiencies for users and administrators, and has increased accessibility to new services offered by various cloud providers including Microsoft and Citrix in a secure manner. The transformation has also increased user capability and improved end user-experience.
